The Euroregion Pyrenees Mediterranean

The Euroregion is an EGTC representing 3 regions: Occitanie, Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. The objective of the Euroregion is to create in the north-west of the Mediterranean a pole of sustainable development based on innovation, social integration, economic territory, amongst which, a Blue growth pole. We want to develop Blue economy while preserving the environment but also by encouraging the emergence of new technologies and business models. Euroregion is experienced in coordinating and implementing international EU and investment projects in this area.

Athena Research Center / Corallia Unit

Corallia, was founded in 2005 as a Unit of the Research Center Athena with the aim of organized and systematic management and development of clusters and other structures to support entrepreneurship. Today, it coordinates two highly specialized technology clusters in Greece, with more than 100 members, the si-Cluster (Space Technologies & Applications) and the gi-Cluster (Recreational and Creative Technologies & Applications), and has been awarded the Gold Label Certificate of Excellence for their management. In addition, it manages the operation of the recently launched ESA BIC Greece (European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre) and of a Business Innovation Center, with a total area of ​​1,250 sq.m., the innohub in Maroussi.

At the same time, it implements a series of initiatives for the acceleration of Youth Entrepreneurship with important partners and supporters: one of the most important accelerators in the country, the egg-enterˑgrowˑgo program in cooperation with Eurobank, the Be your own boss Program with Prince's Trust International, competitions open innovation such as Hackathons, etc. Corallia has developed strong links with key European policy makers as well as international strategically important partnerships.

Pole mer is specialized in promoting sustainable development of the maritime and coastal economy in the Mediterranean, Europe and the rest of the world. It has experience in assisting SME’s of the Blue growth sector in developing new products and services. This is channeled by two services offered as well in PSAMIDES: business growth and Innovation services.

Balearic Island Ports

Ports de les Illes Balears is in charge of managing the 33 autonomic ports of the Balearic Islands. Touristic and pleasure nautical activity is economically important for the region and it is based on the environmental value of the coasts. Since the new port law of 2005 all the marinas of the islands have been incentivized to improve theirs infrastructures. That’s why Balearic Ports are a reference in quality around the Mediterranean. And they’re still working in that way. Ports de les Illes Balears is very used to manage ports in permanent developing activity in order to improve service to the users and environmental sustainability.

Ports de la Generalitat is in charge of running all non-concessioned marinas, fishing harbours and cargo ports directly managed by the Catalan government, namely 19 ports, 3 fishing harbours and 4 inland ports. Our competences and experiences are linked to:

-Create lively port-related activity and maritime culture by developing commercial, industrial, fishing, recreational, cultural and tourist activities.

-Integrate ports and other port-based industrial facilities into the social and municipal environment.

-Optimise asset and resource management in order to achieve greater economic and social returns.

-Foster sustainable economic development alongside full environmental protection.

Port of Sete, SUD DE FRANCE

The “Région Occitanie, Pyrénées-Méditerran ée” and the “Port de Sete, Sud de France” are at a major turning-point after having developed all maritime, cruising and Yachting activities and also after having refurbished all of the ancient installations.

The Marina of Sete is currently ISO 9001, ISO14001 and “Clean Port” certified and need to pursue their improvement schemes by developing innovating tools.

Our competences are: operation needs definition, collaboration with partners for developing new tools, experiment tools onsite, contribute to the innovating tool deployment in other ports and marinas.

Private scientific research institution – “Institute of modern technology Montenegro”

The Institute of modern technology Montenegro (IMTM) was established in 2012. IMTM research focus is the area of information and communication technology; mainly our research scope are cyber security, medical informatics, and ICT in tourism.

Behind research activities, we are promoting the importance of ICT and transferring the knowledge, through organisation of trainings for ICT professionals, as well for youth (high school students).

The main activity of IMTM is the realisation of international competitive, basic research programmes and projects to bring innovative solutions in Montenegro, as well as enhancement of lifelong and continuous education in the field of ICT. Our activities can be grouped and divided into research, innovation and training and education all implemented within international projects, national projects, and cooperation with industry.

SAS NOVELTIS

NOVELTIS is involved with the maritime industry (NAVAL Group, ENGIE, TECHNIP) to prepare and support operations as well as research organizations and agencies to contribute to the improvement of engineering solutions.

For several years, NOVELTIS develops services in:

-maritime safety: prediction of sea states wind and sea currents to define most favourable periods for operations

-renewable energies: evaluation of suitable sites and real-time prediction for solar, tidal, wind and wave energies.

-water quality: simulation of marine litter trajectories and connectivity between sources and

stranding areas.

University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime studies

The faculty offers academic staff with scientific expertise and experience in: maritime safety,navigation, marine engineering, port operations, economics of transport, port economics, transport logistics, maritime law, etc. PFRI has accumulated experience from more than 200 projects in Croatia and abroad. Faculty of Maritime Studies and its employees were involved in 25 international projects, EU funded, as partner and as project coordinator.
